An international Christian youth conference under the motto “Overcome Obstacles with Jesus’ will be held from December 26, 2024, to December 31, 2024, the Secretarial Department at the General Conference of the IMS announced today, on December 9, 2024. Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at the IMS, Pastor Roland de la Paz, Leader of the Asian Division at the IMS, Pastor Woonsan Kang, Leader of the Youth Department at the General Conference of the IMS, and Pastor Douglas Francis, General Conference President Advisor at the IMS, will take part in the event. The expected daily temperature in Colombo, Hatton, Nuwara Eliya and Sigiriya, Sri Lanka, is 21 degree Celsius.
The international youth conference program includes a stay in the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital and largest city, on the first day, on December 26, 2024, a stay in Hatton, a town in the Nuwara Eliya District of Central Province, Sri Lanka, a major center of the Sri Lankan tea industry, located approximately 112 km (70 mi) southeast of Colombo, as well as a stay in the city of Nuwara Eliya, the administrative capital of the district with the same name, on December 29, 2024. The penultimate day of the conference, December 30, 2024, will be spent in Sigiriya, an ancient rock fortress located in the northern Matale District near the town of Dambulla in the Central Province, Sri Lanka, while the departure is planned for December 31, 2024, from Colombo.
