The second part of an important Christian analysis on the difference between the music inspired by God and the music inspired by the Satan was presented yesterday, on October 20, 2025, by sister Caress Prado, a bachelor in music and a choir conductor from Chile, under the title “The Power of Music” via YouTube during the traditional Q&A session at the IMS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9fG_K9suKI. Pastor Douglas Francis, Counselor of the General Conference President at the IMS, was the moderator of the event.
While the first part of the session (https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1a397uYACg/) was dedicated to the mind and goal a musician would have (the true Christian musician is consecrated to glorify God through the music, while the worldly musician tries to glorify himself) and to the music as a gift created by God, the second part of the session explained the difference between the music inspired by God and the music inspired by the devil. Sister Caress Prado underlined that the musical instruments serve as accompaniment of the human voice in praising the Lord and, if the instruments are louder than the human voice (like the drums and the heavy metal guitar timbres, for instance) and distract the attention from the glory and the fear of the Lord, they should not be used in the Christian church music worship, and the same rule is valid for worldly show music gestures like clapping and dancing as well. In addition, in her Power Point presentation sister Caress Prado emphasized that God determined the Levites and the instruments which should be used in the musical worship, according to 2 Chronicles 5:12 - cymbals, harps, lyres and trumpets, and we should apply the heavenly way and order to praise the Lord and not to invite worldly musicians to take part in our church musical worship: “for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14, second part). In the Internet, there are also wonderful samples of excellent choir conducting done by sister Caress Prado, including the Christian song “Dad gloria al Señor” (“Give Glory to the Lord”): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xVJlbEtp-w&list=RD1xVJlbEtp-w&start_radio=1.
