A very important Christian analysis on God’s Seal as sign of belonging to Christ was presented by Pastor Humberto Avellaneda, Vice President of the General Conference at the IMS, was presented in a sermon preached on Sabbath, June 6, 2026, and published via YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92XQzOsD6jU, the Secretarial Department of the General Conference at the IMS confirmed.
In his sermon, Pastor Humberto Avellaneda underlined the Lord’s Word in Ephesians 1:13-14 which revealed that we were sealed with the Holy Spirit after our trusting and believing in Christ, and the Holy Spirit was given to us as the earnest of our heavenly inheritance (as 2 Corinthians 1:21-22 confirmed as well). In addition, Pastor Humberto Avellaneda emphasized that we should not break God’s seal by grieving the Holy Spirit through our words and action, as well as by our character and way of life, according to the Lord’s Word in Ephesians 4:30 and Galatians 5:25.
Furthermore, Pastor Humberto Avellaneda mentioned the testimony of the Spirit of Prophecy which revealed that only those who would overcome the world, the flesh and the devil, should receive God’s seal through the gift of the new birth and God’s presence in us through the Holy Spirit, according to John 14:23.
