An important Christian missionary online training on how to reach people in need and to gain them for Christ was held in English yesterday, November 23, 2025, via Zoom and Facebook, the Facebook site Evangelism Department IMS confirmed by publishing a video of the event: https://www.facebook.com/evangelismIMS/videos/877533024693931. Pastor Pablo Hunger, Leader of the Evangelism Department at the General Conference of the IMS, was the moderator of the online Christian missionary training.
After the introduction made by Pastor Pablo Hunger about his missionary trips and experiences in Asia, Brother Onesmus Kyalo from Kenya at the IMS presented a profound lesson on Christ’s methods for reaching and helping foreign people in need, such as: 1. Mingling with the people as one who desires their good; 2. Studying the language and the customs of the foreigners; 3. Knowing their belief and respect their traditions; 3. Serving with compassion and humbleness marginalized groups of the society: refugees, disabled persons, outcasts, criminals, addicted people and minority tribes, according to the Lord’s Word in Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18. In addition, Brother Onesmus underlined the importance of building trust, the applying practical missionary methods: health ministry with prayer for wisdom, serving before preaching, spending time with the people, giving Bible studies, working with patience, Christ’s mind and peace among Muslims, Hindus, avoiding debates, making friendship without discrimination. Furthermore, Pastor Pablo Hunger mentioned the calendar of the missionary activities for 2026, including six missionary seminars.
At the end of the training, Pastor Everardo Sandoya from Panama gave a lecture on the reaching and serving people in need through vegetarian restaurants and social aid, according the Lord’s Word in Matthew 25:35.
