Two pastors, Brother Arthur Becker and Brother Gabriel Stuparu, were consecrated today, on Sabbath, November 23, 2024, in Gladenbach, Germany, during a Christian regional conference under the motto “Always the Eternity before Our Face”, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, Secretary of German Union and Leader of the Colportage Department of the General Conference at the IMS, announced via a video of the event, published on Facebook: https://www.youtube.com/live/BjKpIUtOsM0. Pastor Daniel Serban, President of the German Union and the European Division, and Pastor Adrian Dinut, Vice-President of the German Union, who preached the main sermon, attended the conference as well.
In his sermon, Pastor Adrian Dinut underlined that to have always the eternity before our face means to trust in God’s promise and to have always Christ before our face. In addition, Pastor Adrian Dinut mentioned the experience of the first reformers, such as Prof. Martin Luther and Prof. Jan Hus, according to Hebrew 13:14, whose testimony was not accepted, because they lived for the heavenly Jerusalem, but not for the earthly Jerusalem of today. Furthermore, Pastor Adrian Dinut explained the reformation message which included the light about Christ’s service in the heavenly sanctuary and God’s commandments and the faith of Jesus, summarized by the Savior in Matthew 6:33.
In the afternoon, after introduction words of Pastor Adrian Dinut and a sermon by Pastor Gustavo Castellanos under the title “Do You Love Me?” (John 21:15) about Christ’s support for His servants, including the prayers of the church, and an introduction by Pastor Daniel Serban, the consecration was performed, as the published video confirmed: https://www.youtube.com/live/V5r8e4ceVeE. Pastor Gustavo Castellanos commemorated Christ’s tasks “Feed My lambs” and “Take care of My sheep”. Mentioning God’s mission in Isaiah 6:8, Pastor Daniel Serban emphasized God’s care, plan and promise about the imminent latter rain, which we should pray for. Just before the consecration ceremony, the choir of the Mosbach church praised the Lord.
