Storks came back to the village of Yakimovo, district Montana, Bulgaria, suddenly between September 30 and October 2, 2024, just one month after their usual departure to the south countries, such as Egypt, www.novini.bg announced, and Semcho Mironov, a 77-year old man from Yakimovo, published on Facebook even a video of the event he saw for the first time in his life: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=1244716150212334.

According to more experienced people, this second return of the storks is a sign of a colder coming winter. On the other hand, representatives of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds confirmed that the storks stayed in Europe during the winter because of the warmer winters over the  past few years. Other analysts mentioned the war as a reason for the second return of the storks, reminding of the prophecy given by God in Habakkuk 2:17.
