Today, February 26, 2022, was a day of prayer and fasting for Ukraine in the German Union at IMS, as Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, German Union Secretary, announced on February 25, 2022, on Facebook. Pastor Gustavo Castellanos encouraged the brethren to collect donations for our young brethren in Ukraine, in order to make possible their participation in a missionary seminar in Mosbach, Germany, during the time of unrest in their native country.

In addition, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at IMS, directed a special video message via YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VKs5LqdrW20) regarding the war declared to Ukraine in the morning of the same day, February 25, 2022, with the appeal to pray especially for our brethren in Ukraine who shall be subject to obligatory military mobilization and, being pacifists according to Christ’s instruction in John 18:11, first part: “Put the sword into its sheath”, and the sixth God’s commandment (James 2:11), they have to give testimony about their Christian duty not to take arms or weapons. Furthermore, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov confirmed that the General Conference was ready to help regarding any plea for help from Ukraine, and appealed to all brethren in Europe and around the world to receive refugees from Ukraine.

Today, immediately after the end of both the fasting and the Sabbath after sunset, we already saw God’s influence and intervention in the terrible event of the war: Russian President Vladimir Putin made an official statement that Russia was ready to conduct negotiations with Ukraine at highest level, as independent.co.uk reported.
