An online graduation ceremony for students in Christian Bible Science at the Kibaha Berea Adventist Institute (KBAI) at the IMS in Tanzania, East Africa, was held yesterday, on May 9, 2024, via both Zoom and Facebook, the Secretarial Department of the IMS announced. Brother Daniel Kimeu, the Kibaha Institute academic program coordinator, was the moderator of the event whose video appeared on the Facebook site IMS SDA GC: https://www.facebook.com/imssdarmgc/videos/995249448870664. In his speech on the occasion of the graduation, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President, underlined the key importance of the teaching and the education, as Christ’s method according to Mark 4:1 and Proverbs 10:5, in the Christian and even in the common life of every human being and every Christian family and local church at the IMS, especially how to learn to be a blessing for others in a friendly way and to preach Christ through the Christlike own behavior.
In addition, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov expressed the gratitude of the General Conference at the IMS toward Brother Daniel Kimeu, Academic Coordinator, and Pastor Bright Fue, Chairman of the Board of Advisors, from Tanzania for the excellent collaboration, as well as toward Pastor Douglas Francis and Sister Raquel Orce-Sotomayor for the successful teaching and coordinating this noble academic Christian project.
Pastor Mandisha, Tanzanian Union President, greeted every graduate. Brother Daniel Kimeu emphasized the faculties of the KBAI as true and profound education in comparison to the worldly education which could be considered as an illusion. Pastor Douglas Francis encouraged the fields and the unions at the IMS to motivate young brethren to study at KBAI as part of the next intake which would happen soon. Sister Raquel Orce-Sotomayor mentioned the new branches of study the future students could choose, such as Biblical Ethics, Biblical Geography, in addition to the already existing Business Administration, Prophesies, Bible Science and Basic Evangelization & Canvassing. Pastor Elijah Zwane, General Conference Second Secretary, greeted the graduates as well and the wonderful choirs of the Tanzanian Union praised God with Christian hymns.
