One more soul, Svetlana Viktorovna, a sister in the faith of Jesus, was baptized in the city of Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, on May 15, 2025, Pastor Vladimire Marinov, Member of the Committee of the European Division at the IMS, who performed the baptism, confirmed today, on May 19, 2025. On May 15, 2025, the daily temperature in the city of Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan, varied between 24 and 26 degrees Celsius.
Tomok, a city in the Chuy Valley, northern Kyrgyzstan, east of the country’s capital of Bishkek, has a a population of 71,443, as of 2021, and an elevation of 816 m above sea level. Tokmok was established as a northern military outpost of the Khanate of Kokand in circa 1830, however, thirty years after, it was conquered by Russia whose soldiers demolished the fort. The modern town was founded in 1864 by Major-General Mikhail Chernyayev.
