Four souls, two sisters and two brothers in the faith of Jesus, were baptized by Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, Colportage Department Leader at the General Conference of the IMS, during the Christian colportage conference held in the town of Chancay, Peru, from August 12 to September 1, 2024, the Christian magazine Sabbath Watchman at the IMS announced in its number 3, vol. 99, for July-September 2024.
Pastor Gustavo Castellanos was born in Guatemala, however, after graduating in Christian theology at the Bethany International Missionary School at the IMS in Neckarsteinach-Darsberg, Germany, in 1992, he served the Lord faithfully in the Austrian Field and in the German Union at the IMS, including as German Union President and European Division Secretary.
The secret of Pastor Gustavo Castellanos’ success as God’s servant is a prayer he, during his suffering from an acute life-threatening disease in his young days, has raised to God with the promise for lifelong Christian service if the Lord would heal him and save his life. And, to God be the glory, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, by the grace of Christ, continues to keep his noble promise before God.
