Christian conference was held for the local churches in the northern part of Mozambique, Africa, from September 7, 2022, to September 10, 2022, well informed sources confirmed. Despite of the big need of workers in that country, God’s work has experienced a great growth in Mozambique since 2019, reaching today more than 500 baptized church members there.
Mozambique, a country located in southeastern Africa bordered by Indian Ocean to the east, Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west, and Eswatini, formerly named Swaziland, and South Africa to the southwest, is the 35th largest country in the world, as of land territory, with about more than 800,000 sq km and a population of approximately 30 millions of citizens in eleven provinces.
The Portuguese colonization of Mozambique started in 1505, and the country gained its independence from Portugal in 1975. Despite of its richness in natural resources, Mozambique’s economy is based mainly on fishery, and the country still remains one of the poorest and underdeveloped nations in the world, ranking low in GDP per capita.
