An Autumn Christian conference was held yesterday, on Sabbath, October 7, 2023, in Katowice, Poland, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, Leader of Canvassing Department of General Conference at IMS and President of Austrian Field who participated in the event, announced on Facebook. Thirty one adults and nine children took part in the Christian conference organized by the German Union at IMS.
Katowice, Poland’s 11th most populous city, known as well with its German name Kattowitz, is with its population of 286,960 citizens, as of the December 31, 2021 census, the capital city of the Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland and the main city of the Upper Silesian metropolitan area. In 1526, Kattowitz was part of the Habsburg monarchy of Austria, while in 1742, together with most of Silesia, it became part of Prussia. On September 11, 1865, Kattowitz gained its city status by the act of the king Wilhelm I Hohenzollern.
