Two souls, a sister and a brother in the faith of Jesus, were baptized yesterday, on Sabbath, May 6, 2023, in Saint Lucia, an island country of West Indies in the eastern Caribbean, Pastor Pablo Hunger, Leader of Evangelism Department and Division North America Caribbean at the General Conference of International Missionary Society (IMS) who performed the baptism, confirmed on Facebook.
Saint Lucia, known as a member of the West Indies Federation from 1958 to 1962 and called “Helen of the West” because of its history as apple of discord between the UK and France, which had an estimated population of over 180,000 people as of 2022 and a land area of 617 km2 (238 square miles), became an independent state on February 22, 1979, while remaining as a Commonwealth Realm.
