The third part of a profound Christian lesson on fire baptism was presented by Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at the IMS, on Monday, July 7, 2025, during the traditional Q&A session at the IMS which was transmitted via YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8HTweEnoLM. Pastor Douglas Francis, Counselor of the General Conference President at the IMS, was the moderator of the event.
Pastor Tzvetan Petkov explained in a noble way the important spiritual meaning of the Christian fire baptism (Revelation 3:18, first part) as a purification test and experience for the obedience toward God through suffering, affliction and awakening for God’s purpose of molding the human character of all which would be worthy to enter the heavenly kingdom of Christ, according to the Lord’s Word in Luke 23:43 - “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee today, thou shalt be with me in paradise.”
In addition, Pastor Tzvetan Petkov underlined that the exception example of the robber who was crucified with Jesus on the right and could not be baptized with the water, showed, however, all the spiritual signs of the three baptisms: repentance (Luke 23:41, first part), defending the Truth (Luke 23:41, second part) and awakening (Luke 23:42). In all other cases, including health issues, God’s servants should do their best to baptize the penitent souls after instruction and examination of every adult person with sound mind and ability to distinguish between good and evil, according to the example Christ gave with His own baptism (Matthew 3:13, 15).
