The readings of the Week of Prayer for children at the IMS under the title “Praying Always” shall start this year on Friday, December 6, 2024, and will continue, as the Week of Prayer for adults as well, till Sabbath, December 14, 2024, the Educational Department at the General Conference of the IMS announced on Thursday, November 14, 2024. The children’s readings for the Week of Prayer shall start with the reading “How Jesus Prayed”, written by Sister Ana Dexi Daza Espinel from Colombia.
The second reading under the title “The Prayer of the Lord Jesus”, written by Sister Ines Müller from Germany, will be presented on Sabbath, December 7, 2024. The third reading under the title “Praying for our Enemies”, written by Sister Nonelwa Ndlebe from South Africa, is to be preached on Sunday, December 8, 2024, while the fourth reading - “Praying for the Sick”, written by Sister Lisbeth Hunger Zuercher from USA, is planned for Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
The fifth reading, under the title ”Praying for Forgiveness”, which is written by Sister Sandy Nelson from USA, will be performed on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, while the last two readings, “Praying with Thanksgiving” and “Praying Always”, written by Sister Manuela Di Franca from Germany and by Sister Margie Seely from USA, Leader of the Educational Department, respectively, shall be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, and on Sabbath, December 14, 2024. The title of the readings for the Week of Prayer “Praying Always” is this year one of the seven aspects of God’s will for us, revealed in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-22.
