The reorganization of the Colombian Union at the IMS for 2026-2028 mandate was held in the town of Quinchía, Department of Risalda, under the motto “A Supreme Work for the Time of the End”, vol. 100, number 4 of The Sabbath Watchman magazine for October-December 2025 confirmed. Pastor Habimelec Hernández, Leader of the Latin American Division, and Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, the President of the General Conference at the IMS, took part in the event.
Pastor Marino Mazo was elected as President of the Colombian Union at the IMS, while Sister Milena Valderrama and Sister Marcela Godoy were elected as secretary and treasurer of the Colombiann Union respectively. In addition, Pastor Juan Manuel Cardona was elected as Leader of the Evangelism Department, and Pastor Alexander Perez was elected as Leader of the Education and Multimedia Department.
Quinchía, also known as Villa de los Cerros (Village of the Hills), a town (officialised on November 29, 1888) and municipality (declared on April 24, 1912) located about 110 km away from Colombia’s capital Pereira, situated in the Colombian coffee growing axis, part of the “Coffee Cultural Landscape” UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, had an estimated population of 27,890 in 2023.
