Five more souls were baptized in the city of Garo Hills, Meghalaya State, North East India, on March 7, 2021, Pastor Ruban David Palani who performed the baptism reported on his Facebook profile. Three sisters and two brothers in the faith of Christ made the covenant with God.
The Garo Hills, part of the Garo Khasi range in Meghalaya, India, inhabited mainly by tribal dwellers, most of them Garo people, are known as one of the wettest places in the world. The Garo Khasi range is part of the Meghalaya subtropical forests ecological region. Meghalaya, formed in 1972, has a territory of approximately 22 430 square kilometers and a population of 3 211 474 as of 2016.
