Eight souls – six sisters and two brothers in the faith of Jesus, were baptized recently in the Oceania Division at the IMS, in the city of Minj, Jiwaka province, Papua New Guinea, the Facebook profile IMS Oceania Division confirmed through photos on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The daily temperature in Minj, Papua New Guinea, reached on October 1, 2026, 24 degrees Celsius, a perfect weather for a Christian baptism.
Minj, the administrative center of the Anglimp district, is located in the southern part of the Waghi Valley and has a population of 5,652 inhabitants, as of the 2026 estimate. The Jiwaka province itself, whose name is an abbreviation of the first letters of the regions Jimi, Waghi and Kambia and whose main business is the agriculture, was established in May 2012 after separation from the Western Highlands province in Papua New Guinea.
