Eight souls, four sisters and four brothers in the faith of Jesus, were baptized recently in Lumezi, a district of Eastern Province, Zambia, part of the Midlands Field at the Zambian Union of the IMS, the Facebook profile Ims Sda Zambian Union confirmed on June 1, 2026. Pastor Wilson Sialwindi performed the baptisms. The daily temperature in Lumezi, Zambia, ranged on Sabbath, May 30, 2026, from an average afternoon high of approximately 27°C to 31°C (81°F to 88°F) to an overnight low of about 11°C to 16°C (52°F to 60°F).
The Lumezi district, which was made independent from Lundazi District in 2018, had a population of 158,971 citizens, as of the 2022 Zambian Census. Zambia, officially the Republic of Zambia, a landlocked country in Southern Africa with a total area of 752,617 square kilometers and a population of 20,216,029 inhabitants, as of 2023 estimate, known earlier as Northern Rhodesia and the 39th-largest country in the world as well, became independent of the United Kingdom on October 24, 1964, as a republic within the Commonwealth. Zambia’s natural resources comprise minerals, wildlife, forestry, freshwater, and arable land.
