A Christian reorganization conference of the Lesotho Field at the International Missionary Society (IMS) – www.sda1844.org, was held last month, from April 3 to 6, 2026, in Maseru, the capital city of Lesotho, the consecrated Elder Michael Rantai, Vice President of the Lesotho Field at the IMS, confirmed today, on May 5, 2026. Elder Tumo Rakhoboso was re-elected as Field President and Sister Bonang Busakoe was elected as Field Secretary under the direction of Pastor Alfred Ngwenya, African Division Vice President, Elder Michael Rantai added.
Furthermore, Elder Michael Rantai and his wife were invited to take part in a radio program in Meqheleng, Ficksburg, South Africa, speaking as a young couple on the impact of a godly marriage, and reaching a wider audience with biblical Christian principles.
Lesotho, officially the Kingdom of Lesotho with its capital and largest city Maseru, a landlocked country in Southern Africa, situated in the Maloti Mountains, has a territory of more than 30,000 km2 (11,600 sq mi), a population of approximately 2 million citizens, and comprises Thabana Ntlenyanam, the highest point in southern Africa at 3,482 m.
Formed in 1822 by King Moshoeshoe I, Lesotho became a British protectorate in 1868 and gained its independence in 1966.
