The Vatican permitted the blessing by Christian servants for homosexual or unmarried couples, the German television ARD (www.ard.de) confirmed yesterday, on Monday, December 18, 2023, quoting the Declaration “Fiducia supplicans” issued by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith and approved by the Roman bishop Francis. According to the Declaration, this kind of blessing would not be within the official Christian worship and should not be mistaken for marriage ceremony which was and is between man and woman only.

However, this Roman interpretation of the Biblical ‘laying hands’ (Matthew 19:15) is distinct from God’s opinion on the subject in Romans 1:26-27 and lets us rather remember the warning of prophet Daniel’s prediction about ‘the abomination of desolation’ quoted by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Matthew 24:15-16, because homosexual couples could not give birth to children and would provoke desolation as well, and, on the other hand, according to the Word of God in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, “nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,...shall inherit the kingdom of God.”
