It means not only to avoid resting on our laurels, but also not to be caught on both good and the negative in the past only, but to allow God to develop our characters always by new, deeper experiences in the Holy Spirit, in harmony with Philippians 3:13-14, but also with John 1:50, last part: “You will see greater things than these!”
However, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos remembered that this Christian principle does not mean that we should forget our thankfulness to God for His love, protection and blessing, but this principle is mentioned by God to encourage us to have a new beginning with Him for good.
