The Rescue Christian missionary program at the IMS helped survived victims of typhoon Kalmaegi in Cebu, Philippines, this month, by distributing bags with foodstuffs, a meal and mineral water, Pastor Pablo Hunger, Leader of the Evangelism Department at the General Conference of the IMS, confirmed by publishing photos and a video of the event via Facebook on November 8, 2025: https://www.facebook.com/pablo.hunger.1/videos/720006270506317.
On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, the typhoon Kalmaegi, locally named Tino, killed at least 188 people, most in the Cebu province, and left 75 others missing and 17 injured, while hitting with winds of more than 130 km/h and provoking ruins and 1,4 millions displaced persons in the Philippines, both the BBC (https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgmx4yjkzj4o) and local authorities announced. However, an young team, led by Pastor Pablo Hunger, helped the needed persons according to the Lord’s Word in Ecclesiastes 11:1-2: “Cast your bread upon the waters, for you will find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, or even to eight, for you know not what disaster may happen on earth.”
