Pakistan declared an open war on Afghanistan by airstrikes on the country “in the early hours of Friday morning, destroying 22 military targets in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktika in response to a «retaliatory operation» the Taliban launched at around 20:00 local time (15:30 GMT) on Thursday”, the BBC confirmed on Friday, February 27, 2026. According to unverified data, the conflict provoked until today the death of at least 12 soldiers in each of the both armies, besides dozens of injured both soldiers and civil victims. This event is one more confirmation of Christ’s warning: “And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet” (Matthew 24:6).
In addition, there was a delegate, an young brother, from Pakistan yet at the World Assembly of IMS in Ellecom, Netherlands, in 2002, while Pastor Pablo Hunger, Leader of the Evangelism Department at the IMS, mentioned recently during an interview at a Q&A session of the General Conference that there were interested souls even in a «difficult» country like Afghanistan. So we could understand, just in the evil times of today, how important was God’s instruction given in the Lord’s Word in Psalms 122:6, first part: “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem”, because the heavenly Jerusalem will comprise brothers and sisters “of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues”, according the Lord’s Word in Revelation 7:9.
