One soul, a sister in the faith of Jesus, was baptized recently at the IMS in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, the Facebook site IMS Asian Division confirmed yesterday, on December 16, 2025. Pastor Roland de la Paz, Leader of the Asian Division at the IMS, performed the baptism. Ho Chi Minh, also known by its historical name Saigon, is the most populous city in Vietnam, with a population of more than 21,000,000 in 2025 and his daily temperature varies between 25 and 33 degree Celsius.
Vietnam, officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (SRV), a developing country at the eastern edge of Mainland Southeast Asia, with an area of about 331,000 square kilometers (128,000 sq mi) and a population of over 100 million, is the world's 15th most populous state and one of the two communist states in Southeast Asia. The Nguen – Vietnam’s last imperial dynasty, surrendered to France in 1883, while in 1945 the communist revolutionary Ho Chi Minh declared Vietnam's independence from the Empire of Japan and in 1954 even from France.
