A new pastor – Brother Hens Hendri Karinda, was ordained by Pastor Tzvetan Petkov, General Conference President at the IMS, on January 17, 2026, in Tomohon city, Manado - North Sulawesi, Indonesia, during the Christian conference and symposium which was held from January 10 to 17, 2026, under the motto “Yes, I am coming soon” (Revelation 22:20) and submotto ““Arise, shine; for your light has come, and Yahweh’s glory has risen on you!” (Isaiah 60:1) in this country, well informed sources confirmed.
It is meaningful, as of the importance of the Christian missionary schools in the church, that Pastor Hens Karinda graduated theology at the same Bethany missionary school like Pastor Tzvetan Petkov in Neckarsteinach-Darsberg, Germany, from 1990 to 1992 during the service mandate of Pastor Siegmund Gutknecht as General Conference President at IMS. Later on, this missionary school was sold and a new missionary school started in the town of Albertirsa, Hungary, in the second half of the 90s, but it was closed because of the difficulty of the local language.
Timohon, a landlocked city in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, comprises an area of 147.21 km2, and had a population of 91,553 at the 2010 Census, rising to 100,587 at the 2020 Census. Tomohon is known for the nearness of the volcano Gunung Lokon, called Mount Lokon as well, and for wooden-house production, palm-sugar (aren) production, vegetable agriculture, as a center of Christian Ministry, and as a student town as well.
