Brother Idel Suárez Senior, the father of Pastor Idel Suárez, fell asleep in Christ on March 2, 2026, in the afternoon in Tampa, Florida, USA, Brother Wikler Moran announced on his Facebook profile. Brother Idel Suárez Senior came from Cuba and served the Lord via the wonderful gift of helps, “generously supporting financially church projects like the Cedar Christian School, among others”, as Pastor Tzvetan Petkov mentioned in the condolence letter from the General Conference. His son, Pastor Idel Suárez Junior, who served the Lord in the past as Secretary and President at the General Conference of the IMS, is today Leader of the Health Department of the General Conference at the IMS. Our hearts are in the the house of mourning, according to the Lord’s Word in Ecclesiastes 7:4, first part, and we hope that God, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, will comfort the family of Pastor Idel Suárez Junior through Christ’s glorious promise: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 11:25).
