A virtual world musical concert is planned to take place at the International Missionary Society on July 12, 2020, a circular letter of June 21, 2020, written by Pastor Morris Lowe, GC Health Department Leader/ Help Ministry Director at IMS, reveals. The goal of the concert is to bring spiritual encouragement to the Christian church members and to raise much-needed funds for the work of the GC Good Samaritan Department/Help Ministry. Many of the IMS pastors, Bible workers, canvassers, and regular members in Latin America and many other countries are facing great economic hardships as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event is expected to raise at least USD 100 000 for providing assistance to needed brothers and sisters in many countries.
The virtual world musical concert will be broadcast via Facebook, Skype, Youtube and other popular platforms. The IMS has a series of musically gifted pastors, such as Jose Vicente Giner and Yapci Trujillo, as well as church members who will participate as composers, singers and musicians in the concert.
