Our sister in the faith of Jesus Barbara (Betty) Pfeiffer from Klagenfurt, Austria, part of the Austrian Field at the International Missionary Society (IMS), celebrated this year her 103rd birthday, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, Leader of the Canvassing Department at the General Conference of the IMS, confirmed in a reportage in the issue 1, 2025, of the German Union’s Sabbath Watchman magazine. Before the celebration of her birthday, sister Barbara, who has three children, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and was congratulated personally on her birthday by the mayor of Klagenfurt, visited firstly the divine service in the local church at the IMS, in order to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His abundant blessings, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos added. Furthermore, sister Barbara Pfeiffer said the mayor of Klagenfurt, she drove her car until her age of 100.
Later, in September this year, our sister in the faith of Jesus Vasilka Yakimova who lives in a suburb of the city of Kyustendil, Bulgaria, became 99 year-old and started her 100th year of life, expecting to celebrate next year her 100th anniversary, brother Ivan Ivanov, Bible worker in the Kyustendil church at the IMS, announced. In this way, we have in Europe two witnesses of God’s promise in Psalms 91:16 - “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.”, according to the rule of the Lord.
