The Christian brothers, who are members of the Open Hearts organization which is dedicated to the help for the civilian victims of Russia’s war against Ukraine, need our urgent prayers, because they are in danger to be added to the Ukrainian army despite their pacifistic Christian faith which is in harmony with Christ’s command in Matthew 26:52 and in John 18:11, first part, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos, Leader of Colportage Department at the IMS and President of Austrian Field, announced on the day before yesterday, December 26, 2023, on Facebook. Up to now, the members of the non-profit organization Open Hearts were not obliged to do military service because of their activity in the giving humanitarian help, Pastor Gustavo Castellanos added.
By the way, we have in this case the opportunity to apply God’s instruction as well given in 1Thimoty 2:1-2 - “I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men: 2for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. “
