One soul, our sister in the faith of Jesus Marina Bogush, was baptized during the international annual Christian conference that was held in Toijala, a quarter of the town of Akaa, Finland, from March 24 to 26, 2023, under the motto in John 1:46 - ‘“Come and see,” said Philip’, Pastor Vladimire Marinov, Secretary of European Division, confirmed. Pastor Jose Vicente Giner, Leader of Youth Department of General Conference at IMS, performed the baptism. In addition, Pastor Adalicio Fontes, Leader of the Family Department of General Conference at IMS, took also part in the event, together with guests from France, Ukraine, Estonia, Sweden and Norway. After the final sermon preached by Brother Reijo Jyrkinen on March 26, 2023, the participants in the conference undertook an excursion to Helsinki, the country’s capital.
Toijala, located some 40 kilometres (25 miles) south of Tampere, Finland, in the province of Western Finland, as part of Pirkanmaa region, and consolidated with Viiala since January 1, 2007, to form the town of Akaa, is known as an important railway crossroad on which the Helsinki-Tampere and Turku-Tampere tracks meet.
